The Banquet
H A R V E S T was started in December 2012. It begun in a space that was unknown, undecided, undefined and unlimited. The process of conceptualising from this place was documented to show case how ideas are born, nurtured and released. This vulnerable position of exposing early-unfinished concepts was counteracted with the process and philosophy of giving in abundance.
What started as an adventure into the unknown turned into a collaboration with local urban farmer Matt Allison, the residents of Side Street Studios and artist Amy Ellenbogen emerging in an unexpected, celebratory feast.
We sourced all our food locally growing our own produce and going to farms in Phillippi. We now grow and source food from a variety of organic and sustainable farms and businesses in and around Cape Town.
Since then it has always been a unique celebration around our own personal harvest within our own lives as well as the community around us.
